Dark figure incidents[edit source]

gm_construct_13_beta[edit source]

On April 14, 2024, during a routine patrol, Agent Wilford, among others, had discovered a dead body on gm_construct_13_beta. In his report, Agent Wilford claims that:

<...> Subject's body found with large claw marks and in a state of advanced necrosis inconsistent with the presumable date of death. Video footage recovered from a camera attached to the subject's helmet. Subject is presumed to be a prior anomaly survivor.

The body was dubbed Subject #████. Upon successfully recovering the corpse, it was found that #████ was wearing a helmet with an attached camera. In his report upon examining the recording prior to subject's death, Agent Wilford claims that:

#████, accordingly, was present with another survivor, seen departing into the Garage and subsequently into the large Lighting room. Subject followed. Both witnessed the Chair, a documented anomaly. Subject's companion dissolved in mid-air. #████ ran outside, where he was accosted by several dark figures—also documented anomalies. Footage shows dark figures displaying unusually aggressive behaviour. #████ is assumed to have perished as a result of direct contact with the figures.

The video was permitted to be declassified, and it's available on Matt Wilford's YouTube channel.

zs_kraken_base[edit source]

On April 18, 2024, Junior Researcher Matt Wilford was working with an anomaly report from Task Force 1██'s cleanup at zs_kraken_base. The two 1██ operators claim to have encountered dark figures and have eliminated them. The full investigation report is still classified, so it is unclear why it was conducted. Upon further research, Wilford states in his own report that:

Dark figures visibly morph and dissolve when attempts at harming them are made. It is unclear whether the anomaly is destroyed at this point.

The only declassified portion of the investigation recording was uploaded by Wilford onto his YouTube channel under the title cleanupinvestigation_0012.avi.

gm_radar_station[edit source]

On April 22, 2024, during a solitary patrol, Agent Wilford came across a functioning, yet abandoned, radar station at gm_radar_station. Upon interacting with the control panels at the station, Agent Wilford is faced with the aforementioned dark figures, which are displaying exceedingly aggressive behaviour. Wilford appears to successfully defend himself with a suppressed pistol and a double-barrel grenade launcher. The figures morph in shape and dissolve with a loud screeching noise, confirming the behaviour that is present in both Subject #████'s recording and Task Force 1██'s report.

While a full report of the incident is still classified, Wilford's own recording of the incident is available for public viewing. The recording starts similarly to his earlier vlog-style videos, and it is presumed that Wilford was initially planning to make a vlog about the radar station instead of anything anomalous.

The full incident was uploaded by Wilford onto his YouTube channel under the title Radar station.

Other[edit source]

Matt Wilford appears to be hired not just by A.R.C., but also by other companies for whatever reasons, typically doing with tactical intervention and defence. It is unknown whether or not Wilford was ever part of the A.M.T.F. (CHIMAERA).
